Really Like it.
29th July 2012.
Quietly tracking along, opposite the Hartwell train station is this 1 year old gem of a cafe. A gem because it is a delightful find for locals and parents with young children. There is a safely fenced playground opposite the cafe for the young and restless, while the adults can happily peruse the brunch menu that satisfies all tastes.
Coffee
We had chai, soy cappucino, breakfast tea and a moccachino. Little green pots were provided for the tea with milk and honey.
Food
We had 1. Baked Eggs with chorizo, 2. Sweet potato fritters, 3. Scrambled eggs. All were hearty and yummy, particularly liked the baked eggs with chorizo. The fritters were a little too soft but ingredients plentiful and the kidlet liked it, so we were happy.
Service
Relaxed, happy, helpful.
Ambience
The place is an old milk bar converted to a rustic feel. High ceilings with painted press metal lends to an industrial style while wooden crates holding baguettes, delistyle counter, long communal wooden tressel table or two for large families gives it that homely european feel.
Children Services
Toddler/Baby play toys, high chairs, sufficient space for prams, children menus, plastic cups/plates.
Did not check out the change room.
Enclosed playground opposite with a small park to relax in.
